More Holga Pictures - Late Winter, Early Spring
Here are some of my favorite pictures from my second roll of film (Fujifilm Pro 800Z 120) shot with my Holga 120N camera. These are shots from Fort Morgan, CO (Church and Cables Restaurant), Orchard, CO (Al's Service), and the rest from Pueblo, CO while visiting my daughter. The church picture was my first attempt at a double exposure, as I was trying to blend the church with some grave side markers but as you can see the markers don't stick out very much. For some reason, it is always fun to drive by the old gas station in Orchard to see what state of disrepair it is in and how well it is holding up over the years. During the big car show held every year in Fort Morgan this is one of the stops on the Sunday Poker Run and the participants get a nice picture of themselves in the car in front of this old building. Cable's Restaurant is one of most visited eating establishments in Fort Morgan and the vines that cover the north side of the building are such a treat to watch how they change over the seasons. Of course, when I get a chance to visit my wonderful daughter in Pueblo, CO, we always try to get out somewhere and take pictures together. I have always wanted to take the time and get a shot or two of the beautiful sound wall that the city has placed along Highway 47 by Colorado State Universally Pueblo. I my opinion this wall is a "work-of-art" and compliments the City of Pueblo and represents the mission and dedication of the city to rebuild itself. All of these shots were take with my Holga 120N that I received as a gift for Christmas from my lovely wife. I am having a lot of fun with this format and I hope to get out a lot more this spring and summer to take advantage of its' unique abilities.
